WHAT PRIME IS

An architecture,
not a theory.

PRIME stands for Presence, Relationships, Intelligence, Mastery, and Enterprise. Together they represent the five dimensions of professional capability that determine how far a career travels — not just how well a professional performs in their current role, but how they operate under pressure, in ambiguity, across organisations, and at the edge of their experience.

PRIME is not a personality test. It does not measure traits or preferences. It measures how you actually behave in professional situations that require real capability — through 55 questions that are behavioural, situational, and reflective. You cannot game it by selecting the most impressive-sounding answer. It is designed to surface what you genuinely do, not what you aspire to do.

Every professional on Valoria Institute holds a VALU Index score — a 0–100 composite derived from the PRIME assessment, weighted across all five clusters. That score is independent, expires after 12 months, and is the credential that makes a Valoria profile mean more than a self-written CV.

PRIME is not a global framework retrofitted for African professionals. It is built from practitioner insight grounded in the African management and leadership tradition — and it is being formally integrated with the scholarship that defines that tradition.

The VALU Index is currently undergoing independent IO psychologist validation, and the framework is being developed in conversation with African management scholarship, including the foundational Ubuntu philosophy of Lovemore Mbigi and the African management research of Stella Nkomo.
